Reflection - COMM 421

For the curation of our ePortfolios, we were given six options and of the six I chose mobile optimization. Mobile optimization is making the necessary edits on the mobile design of the eP so that it looks organized and flows on not just the desktop view but the mobile viewer too. This was important for me to do because I really want my eP to be organized when I use it for people to view for a job offer or just for my peers and professors to see. In fact, I actually got a compliment about my eP from a job offer I was looking at and that they really enjoyed looking at my work! Just remembering this detail makes me realize more that editing the mobile view is important because when if an employer saw how it looked prior to me editing it, that would not have been good at all!

The changes I made in general to my eP were somewhat brief due to the fact that I had just made some changes after my summer course ended. Since then I have added a "Cybersecurity" section for a course I am currently taking. This is actually going to be organized differently than my course projects page so I am excited about the editing for it! I also added a new look and pictures to the "About me" section because I have changed and wanted to add some updated pictures that show some new things about me (for example my new niece!). I feel really good about my portfolio after making these changes. Adding pops of color, new pictures, editing the layout/texts, and ensuring the look of the mobile design really makes me feel more confident in my professional/educational work. It also not only makes me confident in my portfolio but also in my site design abilities as making this portfolio has opened my eyes to making one catered to my career!
